Project Managers’ Insights: Sraya Halevi, Project Manager

Sapphire Towers is a prestigious development featuring two 25-story towers—one for residential use and the other as a hotel. The residential tower comprises 230 luxury apartments, each covering approximately 300 square meters, while the hotel tower accommodates 230 rooms. The project also includes 1,000 square meters of commercial space beneath the residential tower and 1,200 square meters designated for a public facility serving maritime activities. Located along Herbert Samuel Street in Tel Aviv, this high-profile project encompasses deep excavation, anchoring, dewatering, large-scale raft foundation casting, and road development along Yarkon Street.

“One of the major challenges we faced was executing the project in such a central location in Tel Aviv. Throughout the project, we prioritized minimizing noise and dust pollution in the public space and implemented effective cleaning solutions to maintain clear access routes for the general public. The site conditions were complex, with high-density constraints, groundwater issues, unstable soil, remnants of steel structures, and outdated infrastructure found along the excavation route. The diaphragm wall excavation reached depths of 38 meters below the groundwater level. However, through precise logistical planning, a newly acquired hydromill machine, and meticulous engineering design, we successfully delivered the project to the client within the required timeframe and quality standards. Challenging and complex projects like the Dolphinarium redevelopment fuel my passion for working at Zementcal every day with enthusiasm and dedication.”
